FACIALS FRIDAYS | Bananna and Honey......The benefits and the mask

Hello lovelies,

I thought i should share some natural facial recipes with you. It's not everyone that can afford to go to a spa or to buy these beauty products. Besides, some people just prefer to go Au naturale and use fruits and all that other stuff on their face. That it is not expensive doesn't mean that it doesn't work......believe me, sometimes, these natural recipes are the best!

Bananas are not only delicious to eat as a snack, but they are wonderful for your skin as well! They soothe dry, irritated, and inflamed skin when applied to the surface of the skin. The most sensitive of skin types should be able to handle this mask as long as you are not allergic to banannas or honey.....

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

*1 ripe Banana

*3 Tablespoons Pure Honey

PREPARATION
Peel and mash the banana with a fork in a mixing bowl.

Once the banana doesn’t have big pieces of banana in it and is of a smoother consistency, stir in the honey and mix together.

For easier mixing and before adding into the banana paste, warm the honey for a few seconds in the microwave but make sure it’s not hot.

Once blended well together, apply the face mask to your clean face and neck. Leave it on for 25-30 minutes then rinse off with warm water and a gentle cleanser.

Gently pat dry with a soft hand towel and follow with an oil-free moisturizer.

Easy peasy!

BANANNAS

Bananas are beneficial in fighting acne and are rich in potassium, which when applied directly to the skin, will suffocate the bacteria in cells, forcing blemishes to heal more quickly. Bananas have many anti-bacterial properties which can reduce swelling and infections from other skin issues, including, eczema, and even painful bug bites. You can even rub the peel of the banana on your skin for these types of skin conditions and it will help soothe your skin tremendously.

Bananas are also loaded with Vitamin C and other anti-oxidants which when applied to the skin (even the peel), can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Blood flow will circulate better and collagen production will be boosted.

HONEY

Honey is a wonderful antioxidant proven to help reduce impurities from the skin and help battle mild acne. It also helps restore skin’s texture due to its anti-microbial properties, and will help repair skin damage from the sun and daily environments. People who have oily skin can benefit from honey as well; the sweetener can help your skin retain moisture and elasticity without drying it out, as some facial washes do.
Raw honey is also an effective treatment for acne. A small amount placed on blemishes and acne every night will clear the skin in a short period of time. Washing your face with honey will also leave you with sparkling, clean, soft skin.It can get rid of fine lines and ugly wrinkles that are starting to form on your face, and it can get rid of skin discolorations, make the ugly black marks caused by acne less visible and leave the skin smooth and beautiful.
Raw honey's antibiotic properties are effective in treating colds and sore throats. Raw honey coats the throat and reduces irritation. For blocked sinuses, mix a teaspoon of honey in a pot of hot water, put a towel over your head, and just inhale the steam (A 'lil extra info) *Winks*

Enjoy this bananna-honey mask to the fullest…..your skin will love it!
Next is the 'Bananna-oats' facial scrub
Till then. XOXO
