So, last night, i was asked to please review the fluidline by M.A.C cosmetics in the shade 'Blacktrack'. I used to wonder why this product had its own name 'Blacktrack' i wondered why it wasn't just called 'fluidline'....i didn't know then that 'blacktrack' was just one shade from M.A.C's fluidline products. Asides from this one shade i'll be raving about today, there are many other shades in the fluidline eyeliners....shades like 'Blitz & Glitz' (an intense black with gold shimmer), 'Dipdown' (brown), 'Macroviolet' (deep violet), 'Rich ground' (reddened cocoa), 'Waveline' (navy blue), etc....to mention but a few.
Blacktrack is my very first fluidline by M.A.C, and it's a solid flat black with no shimmer at all. It comes in a thick glass pot which i absolutely love, and the little pot has a black screw-on lid. The glass is so thick that it's almost impossible to really see the color and know the quantity of product from outside. It is very pigmented i must say.
This black gel inside is creamy and silky. Glides on really smoothly. When i apply it with my eyeliner brush (it doesn't come with it's own brush...but hey, i dont mind!), it stays on and lasts until i wash my face clean of all makeup. It sets to a waterproof and smudgeproof finish after i apply it, and it dries out in like 15 seconds. I really love the fact that it doesn't flake or smear, and amongst all my eyeliners (marker-kind, liquid, gel), this is the one i use the most. I jes lurve eeet!
My only problem with this product is the price. E too cost abeg! I bought mine for about $20.
|That's the brush i use to apply it.|
M.A.C 'Blacktrack' is the most popular amongst all gel liners sha (me thinks anyway). I hear you should store your gel liners upside down to prevent them from drying out, and always keep the lid tightly closed too....well, no harm in that.
|A swatch. See how matte and black it is.|
Ok, that's it for my review of the 'Blacktrack' fluidline gel liner. Will i buy it again? Errrrrrm, if i see one for N1000, i would buy *covers face*.
