B 'n D Makeover | Purple sunday

Happy sunday beauties!

This look i did today wasn't what i had in mind to do. Infact, when i lugged out my makeup box this morning, i had no particular look in mind. I just decided to 'go with it' and paint as the spirit led. I did my eyebrows differently from the way i usually do them....i shaved of more brow hairs than i usually do because i wanted a slightly higher arch, and i was very well pleased with the way it turned out.

When it was time to define the brows with a concealer and make them look sharper and neater, i opted to use a brush i've never used before......this new brush helped me finish off the brows faster, and again, i was well pleased!

And then when it was time for the main event ( applying eyeshadow colors), i had no idea what colors to use. Should i use gold and green, purple and red, or yellow and blue? I was at a total loss! I started off by using a lilac in my crease, gold in the inner corner of my lids and green on the outer corner....what i got from that combination was a replica of my 'Glittery christmas' look without the glitter. #HeavySigh. So i picked up a baby wipe and cleaned it all off.

Then, i decided to try a purple smokey look. I started with a purple shade from my BH 4th edition palette, it wasnt dark enough, so i fished out my Sleek 'bad girl' palette and applied the dark purple from the palette on top of the lighter purple already on my lids and smoked it out.....it looked good. Then i had an idea....."Let me use a gold shade in the inner corners" i thought. I did that, and again, it was good! Yippie....i was getting there! "Hmnnnnn, a black shade will deepen the outer corners of my eyes" I thought again, so i went ahead and used a black eyeshadow from my 'bad girl' palette to define the outer corners....great!

Finally, i used a purple on the outer corner of my lower eyelids and a gold in the inner corner just so it will match the upper lids. I applied my eyeliners, fixed my lashes, applied foundation and powder, used a nude lipstick and a matching nude blush, and VIOLA, i was done! And it was all very very good!!!

I dunno about you oooo, but i absolutely loved the look...smokey does it for me anytime.....anyday!

So i've already mentioned most of the products i used to achieve the look....do i have to type a list again? Ok i will .....some other time *Cheeky grin* Right now, i need to go and eat some food 'cos i'm being pummelled from the inside....i'm sure hunger is wiring my baby. Laters! Tell me if you like the look oooo!

Besos!

    1. Well, because my exact shade is scarce, and 607 would be too dark and reddish for me, while 507 on the other hand will be too light. I mix more of 607 and less of 507 to get my exact shade.
