And 2014 is a wrap!

Do you remember 12am of January 1st 2014?

Do you remember the joy, the exhilaration, the rush of hope?

Do you remember the over-whelming excitement and bliss you felt while thinking "OMG! We made it!!!"

I remember all those things and more. I remember making no new year resolutions *I end up breaking them 2 days later anyway*, and i remember making such wonderful plans for my makeup business and my blog. I remember being 5 months pregnant, and being worried sick about having complications during my delivery because i didn't want to have another still birth.

Glory be to God, 2014 was good to me! In April, i gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl *who has now grown into an 8 months old 'lil madam* via CS and without complications....God is soooooo good!

My makeup school has grown in leaps and bounds, i was interviewed on the radio, my blog has amassed so many readers, and my pageviews is currently at 846,686 *to the glory of God*. I wrote 155 posts this year, and i get so many positive and over-whelming feedbacks from you my wonderful readers *I can never thank you all enough!*.

I got exclusive invites to events, some i attended and some i couldn't for good reasons. Also in 2014, the amazing Beauty Africa Exhibition & Conference was held. I remember how much fun that was..... i love my job!!!!

I bought my own domain name, and i made a change from to, it's a big deal. you'll even admit that the latter sounds more professional than the former *winks*.

Finally, i added another wing to 'Blushes 'n Dimples Beauty company'.........we now make accessories *Blushes 'n Dimples accessories*

Wow! Just like that, we've come to the last day of 2014, and yes we made it!!!! This is my last post of the year. I just felt that i had to do this. Thanks beautiful ladies for being with me all through the year, let's do this again in 2015.

Now counting down to the most magical time of the year.......11:59pm - 12:00am.

Besos darls!

BEAUTY TALK | How i care for my skin in the hamarttan season

Errrrr......this post should have come earlier, but it didn't because i thought that there would be no hamarttan. For some reason, hamarttan came late this december, infact the christmas week was ushered in with rainfalls.

I won't lie, i was kinda dancing for joy in my heart when the dry cold weather didn't start, i half-hoped that it wont come at all. Hamarttan and i have a love-hate relationship......Love because it brings that 'christmas smell' we all cherish, and hate because my skin, hair and nose suffers once the cold brittle wind starts blowing. My house nko? Dust every freaking where!

Anyway, today, i want to share with you all how i care for my skin in the hamarttan season. If you are in the east, you would need this information because i heard it's pretty harsh over there. As for those in Lagos, i think it's milder here but you would still need to copy this.

Lesgo there!

Q & A Series | How do i get to draw natural-looking eyebrows?

Good morning Dolls......

In today's Q & A Series, i'll be answering a question which i get asked very frequently.

Hello Nazor

Pls how do you get your brows to look so natural? I read your brows pictorial, and then i tried to draw mine, but i always end up getting dark brows that don't look natural. Pls how do you do it? What brow pencil do you use? Btw, i'm totally addicted to your blog, you are doing an amazing job!

And then i got this via BBM.....

"I'm trying to achieve the look that your own eyebrows have in the 'Office look' pictorials. Maybe i'm doing something wrong cos yours looks so natural and mine looks pasted. Your eyebrows look sooooo natural! I wish i could just do a cut and paste job mehn!"

Q & A Series | How do i handle my dry flaky lips?

Hullo Babes!

It's been a while. Hope you had a great weekend.

It's been quite a while since our last 'Q & A Series' post. Most of the time, i just reply the questions i'm asked via email or BBM, but the ones i feel everyone would benefit from, i answer them here. Gloria needs help with her dry lips. A lot of ladies have this issue......i've worked on a lot of flaky lips, so i know. We have entered the season that deals mercilessly with lips, so these tips i want to share today would come in handy for us all.

Here goes.......

Good morning Nazor, Pls i have this annoying issue with my lips. They are always dry and flaky and always peels off. When i apply lipstick, it does not blend because of the dryness. I use chapstick or vaseline on them but the problem is still there. Please, how can i handle this issue? It can be embarassing sometimes.

EVENT| Pre-launch edition of the Beauty Press Series

Good evening lovelies…….
How have you all been?
So i was invited to the Pre-launch edition of the Beauty Press Series, organized by POPs Concepts. Yesterday was the event, and i'm glad i attended with my handbag (Zuri) in tow.
First of all, ‘What is the Beauty Press Series ?’ You ask.
Okay, the Beauty Press Series (BPS) is a platform for beauty and lifestyle bloggers, vloggers, editors and industry influencers to meet with beauty brands and companies to network and establish a connection. It is a ‘Press only’ beauty products showcase featuring brands and providing a one-on-one opportunity to get to meet brands and those behind the brands and companies.
Yesterday, we got to meet the people behind ‘Gifty’s Daughter studios’ and ‘The Makeup Maven’. Also, a representative of Sleek studios also introduces some of their new skincare products to us *by the way, we were given skincare sets to use and review…..i can't wait!*
So Brands and Companies who want to launch new products and services gets to share first-hand information straight to the beauty press audience *I totally looove my job!*
Funke of Gifty’s Daughter, Ada from Sleek Studios and Linda of Makeup Maven talked to us and also gave us goody bags *goody bags are the best!* There’s this wonderful feeling associated with getting freebies, even if it’s something you can very well afford……that feeling is sweeter than ice-cream! *loool!*
Oya ooooo! Eeeeees picture time!

The whole family used to travel *including the dogs ooo!*, and the road-trips were always fun! While at the village, visitors used to troop in always, and my mum always had food ready. Some guests used to ‘dash’ us money too!
