B 'n D makeover | 'Forbidden'

Hello Dolls
How is it going?
So today’s look was inspired by my sleek lipstain in ‘Forbidden’. Y’all know how much i love this shade…..as a matter of fact, most beauty bloggers love it too. My best part of this shade of the ‘Flash ‘a pout’ lipstains is how easily and smoothly it applies. It’s the easiest of the whole lot of ‘em.

I smoked out the outer corners of my eyes with a black eyeshadow from my sleek palette in ‘Storm’, i also used a brown eyeshadow in that same palette in the inner corners. Then i applied my Zaron lipliner in ‘Bricklayers’ on my lower lids and blended it out….yes, lipliner…..don’t judge me (looolz!). I had to use a lipliner because i didn’t have an eyeliner pencil or an eyeshadow of the same color as ‘Forbidden’, so i had to make do with what i had available. Besides, sometimes we improvise in makeup. Finally, i applied ‘Forbidden’ all over my lips.

B'nD Makeover | 'Up the vamp' A.K.A Duke

Happy Sunday ladies……
I did a B’nD makeover on my face today….wow, it’s been sooo long!
Well, after seeing the beautiful looks Stella and Dinma did with their sleek ‘Flash ‘a pout’ lipstains in ‘Duke’, i mustered up the courage to do a look with mine.
When i swatched the lipstains after i got them from Sleek, ‘Duke’ scared me a bit ‘cos it looked ‘vampire-ish’, and i thought i would never wear it…. i didn’t even know how to wear it (as in what kind of eyes to wear it with), but seeing Dinma and Stella’s looks and some other dark looks i saw in some pictures i came across gave me the inspiration i needed.

So here’s my version christened ‘Up the vamp’

I would have loved to use Ardell 'Wispies' lashes for this look, but it wasn't available, so i used 'Babies'.....it didn't quite come out how i wanted it. I wanted thicker, fuller lashes. If i had more than one 'Babies' lashes, i would have doubled it....oh well..........

LMUF 3!!! Yippeee!!!

Hi lovelies......

How did your day go? Mine went very well, thank God.

First of all, i regret to announce to Abuja-based makeup and beauty lovers that the Mmaybelline Makeup Fair (MMUF Abuja) which was supposed to hold on the 17th of this month ( the day after tomorrow)
will no longer hold for security reasons. I'm so sorry about that 'cos i know that a lot of you will be disappointed. But, don't worry, i'm sure POPs Concepts will have something for you soon * sending a big squishy hug to you guys*

Then, Lagos peeps, it's almost that time of the year again! It's the Lagos makeup Fair (LMUF 3)!!! Oh how the years fly by!

The event will be holding at the 'Anchor events place' at Ikeja, and for the first time, it's going to be a 2-day event. I'll be there on the 22nd (Sunday) by HIS special grace. Please plan to attend, and if you see me, come say hi.

Besos chicas!

#RantTime (again)

I miss blogging

I miss doing B'nD makeover posts

I feel soooo detached from the beauty world......*sad face*

Call it 'Baby blues' or whatever you like, but i just don't like the feeling. I can't believe that this morning, i actually felt like giving it all up #Gasp! I know i said one time in the past that i can nevuurrrr give up beauty blogging, but i really don't know where that evil.....yes, evil.....thought came from. Since i had Zuriel my 'lil rainbow, i've missed out on two events i was really looking forward to.....first was the MakeUpInNigeriaConference, and the second one was an exclusive beauty party by 'Ori Flame cosmetics' which i got an invite to attend last friday. It was fun and i missed eeeet! I got some pictures from Chloe's blog which i would share with you though. Since we didn't attend, who says we can't view pictures? Oriflame cosmetics is a Swedish brand which would be launching in Nigeria soon. They specialize in skincare, hair, fragrance, makeup and accessories. They wanted to let us know what the brand is about...hence the party, and those who attended went home with goodie bags of course!

There's a third event i'm going to miss again on thursday #LeSigh. This one is an exclusive lunch for Nigeria's foremost fashion and beauty editors, hosted by JSP Communications in conjuction with Media Integra. At the lunch, we would be introduced to Jenika Mukoro who will be making the first presentation of 'Hairfinity' in Africa. Hairfinity is a product which promotes strengthening of african hair and also ensures that it grows healthily. The product would be launched in Lagos first by mid-year, and then in Accra and Nairobi. I'm sad that i'll be missing this event too, but nsogbu adiro (no wahala).

Meanwhile, here are some pics from the 'Oriflame' event......

....and errrrrrrr....i ain't EVER giving up beauty blogging. It gives me life!

Besos!

B' n D makeover | 'Brownie' featuring Nony

Ndi be’anyi, da’alu nu ooo!
(My people i greet ooo!)

How’s your Sunday going? It’s a lazy Sunday over here, but of course Dindu, Mish (She now calls herself ‘Sunshine’…..story for another day) and their baby sister have been keeping us busy. School resumes on Tuesday, so from next week, we’ll have some peace and quiet even if it’s for a few hours everyday.
My sister came to spend some time with us today, and i decided to do a look on her face (What can i say?…I’ve missed my brushes and colors).
It's a lot of pictures....i know....and i'm not even sorry! *Ntooooiii*
