She's actually one of my student’s model, and i really enjoy working on her face because she has the perfect eyes, the right lips, great cheek-bones….and did i mention that her eye-lashes are really long? They are!

PRODUCT REVIEW | Sleek Signature face-kit in 'Dawn'

Ok, lemme confess.
I set out doing a smokey look which i had the urge to pair with red lips, and i wanted to use my Sleek Signature face-kit in ‘Dawn’ to create the look because i hadn’t used it ever since i received the products from Sleek Nigeria. So when i got the face-kit out of my box, i realized that i hadn’t even reviewed it yet……. Aaaaand that was exactly how this post turned into a review!

I duuno why, but whenever i buy a new product, i almost don’t want to use it because it’s always sooo spanking new, soooo neat and soooo clean that i don’t want to ruin its perfection…. Loolz! That was the case with this face-kit. I can't count how many times in the past that i have flipped it open and snapped it shut without touching anything inside it.

PICTORIAL | 'All things bright 'n colorful'

Good evening

Here’s the pictorial for ‘All things bright ‘n colorful’. You can re-create with these colors exactly, you can also recreate with other colors….depending on the colors and shades you have. I just want to show you how i got the look, but i must warn you, there’s a lot of blending involved. If you don’t blend thoroughly, the colors will just sit separately like water and oil ( you gerrrit?)

So i used 3 different colors for this look…Pink, blue and green (the green was sooo gorgeous by the way), and there wasn’t any eye contouring done at all. Here are the pictures……. Step-by-step:

PRODUCT REVIEW | My makeup cosmetics 'Purple Haze' lipstick.

Hullo dolls!
Like i promised, this is a review of the lipstick i had on in yesterday’s post. It’s called ‘Purple haze’, and it’s by ‘My makeup cosmetics’. They happen to have a lip candy collection, and ‘Purple haze’ is one of them. I saw it while i was browsing their online store for the EOS lipbalm, and it caught my fancy. Even though i’m not a lover of purple (like i glaringly pointed out yesterday), i’m beginning to like purple lipsticks…..first it was Sleek’s ‘Duke’ lipstain, now it’s ‘Purple haze’, next, i have my eyes on M.A.C’s ‘Heroine’.

When i used one of yesterday’s pictures as my blackberry display picture, a lot of ladies pinged to ask about the lipstick, and i promised them that the review would be up today…..so let’s get to it shall we?

B 'n D Makeover | 'Purple love'

Good morning ladies!
For some weird reason, i like Mondays ‘cos to me, it signifies a new beginning….a new start. The past week has been a really busy week for me, in a good way though.

So on Saturday, i received my ‘Purple haze’ lipstick from ‘My makeup cosmetics’, and yesterday i tried it out by pairing it with a complete look which i have now christened ‘Purple love’. That doesn’t mean that i’m a lover of the color purple…..infact, my favorite colors are ‘Yellow’ (‘cos it’s oh so cheery), ‘Green’ (‘cos it’s fresh), and ‘Brown/gold’ (‘cos it’s so warm and natural). What you are supposed to do with this info, only God knows. *huge grin*.

See the pictures….

PRODUCT REVIEW | EOS lipbalm in 'Passion fruit'

Finally!
Finally, i got me one of those cute –looking EOS lipbalms. I’ve always wanted one since everyone else was getting it since i saw a review about it on a blog (can’t remember which one). I really liked how cute it looked, i've never owned any lip balm quite like it. But when i read a review of the ‘Sweet mint’ on Dinma’s blog, my heart quaked a ‘lil bit but i resolved to get one anyway, even if it’s just so i can be looking at it ( it’s pretty!).

#RANT TIME | Are women their own worst enemies?

I just have to ask this question because i’m truly appalled at the way women ladies treat each other! We act like we are in a perpetual competition with each other, even with people you don’t know so well, total strangers too!………seriously, what gives?!

That’s how some time ago, i was at a cosmetics store to purchase some items when this lady walked in. She knew the store owner, and they chatted amicably. One story led to another, and the lady who came to pick up her body cream was narrating to the store owner about how one of her neighbors who wasn’t as well-to-do as she was ( i deduced that from the impression she gave while telling the story) asked her to please tell her the name of the body cream she uses. She laughed with the store owner, asking her how on earth she could be using the same body cream with that neighbor of hers…..she laughed again. She made it sound like an abomination, and i was cringing inwardly. If she had told her neighbor the name of her cream, and if her neighbor went ahead and bought it and used it too, would she die? As in would she perish?! What’s the deal?
