B 'n D Makeover

Good morning Chicas.....

It's 5;00 am, and i woke up in the mood to blog. How are you all doing? Great i hope.

Me? Hmnnnn....God has been sooo great, it's amazing. I'm so grateful to him for everything. At home, my kids have grown to be sooo inquisitive......especially Dindu! They keep shooting questions at me.

"Mummy, who is that?" "What are you doing?" "What are you looking at?" "Why are you smiling?" "Why are you looking happy now mummy?" "What's making you dance?" "Who are you talking to on the phone?"

Every time they are around me while i answer a phone call, they try to guess who i'm speaking with:

"Munachi, mummy is talking to Chisom's mummy." Dindu begins.

"No Dindu, i think it's daddy" Munachi replies.

"But that is not daddy's voice, maybe it's Adaora's mummy or mummy's teacher" reasons Dindu. By mummy's teacher, he actually means my beads instructor who has become a dear friend.

"Ok, mummy, who were you talking to?" Munachi asks when i finally end the call.

Sometimes, i just tune out their voices and their questions. What about baby Zuri? Hmnnn...that one? We have passed the biting phase. It's now the beating phase *she bullies us all and takes no nonsense from any freaking body at home, but when we go out, she acts soooo innocent like she's not a 'lil terrorist at home*, and the dancing phase. Zuri can't listen to Tiwa Savage's 'My darling' without bending down to dance.....its soooo hilarious when she does that.

Anyway.....i have a new look to share.....well, its not exactly new 'cos i did it like 3 weeks ago.

Lagos Makeup Fair (LMUF4) in pictures.

Hey ladies!

So yesterday was the anticipated LMUF4, and i attended like i said i would *thank God*. I left my house by 1:30pm and got there by 3:30pm. If i knew that there would be traffic at Mile 2 and at Ilasa, i would have set off earlier, but i no chop 'winsh', so i didn't expect the traffic.

I sha got there and i was amazed at the turn-up. Apparently, the rain that fell yesterday didn't deter the makeup lovers in Lagos.....see people!

I met so many people i haven't met before, including Ashabee and SitPrettyMakeupMaveric. I was sooo pleased to finally meet them.

Of course i bought some makeup. I planned not to exceed a particular amount of money, and i'm really proud of myself and thankful to God 'cos we succeeded.

Oh, and the venue (Classique events centre) looked really nice.

Anyway are some pictures i took for your viewing pleasure...

RANT | Plagiarism......

Hello lovelies.......

How are you doing? Hope okay.

Tomorrow is the 4th LMUF!!!Yippeeeee! I'm so excited 'cos i'm going to be in a hall full of makeup *claps hands with glee*, and i'll get to see my friends in the industry who i haven't seen in a looooong time! Of course i won't be coming back home empty-handed.

Dearly beloved.... Today, i'm here to rant about something that has eaten deep into not just the makeup industry, but every industry there is.

Plagiarism is the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own.
Synonyms : Copying, infringement of copyright, piracy, theft, stealing; informal cribbing.

Plagiarism is a serious offense, and i don't know why people fail to understand that. Do you know how many times i've come across pictures on instagram that original owners of works post, telling their followers to be wary of those who have stolen their works and passed it off as theirs?

Daylight tiffery!

Sometime ago, someone lifted my pictorial pictures from this blog, cropped off my name and posted them on her channel. She also lifted the my write-up and posted them along with the pictures, but she added a few words of her own. That's how she passed my work off as hers, giving me NO single credit whatsoever! My attention was called to the channel, and i joined it. I thanked her right there for posting my pictorial, and i posted a link to my blog. People had some questions about the pictorial, and i answered them......guess what? I went back some hours later and saw that she deleted my replies to those who had questions. The nerve! She has no idea how much time i put into that pictorial, yet she lifted it and passed it off as her own on her channel! See ehn, if she had done her own pictorial *inspired by mine* and posted on her channel, it wouldn't have been a big deal to me.

B 'n D Makeover | Orange Diva

Hello babes....

How are y'all doing today?

So i did a look yesterday to share with you. Honestly, i didn't plan to play with my face yesterday, but somehow, i found myself calling for my makeup box and brushes.

Ok...truth? I liked my new braids soooo much, i couldn't let it waste *chukles*. It's been a while since i last rocked's usually ghana-weaving all the time. So i decided that i was going to do different looks with the hair 'cos heaven knows when i have braids done again.

So i came up with gold eyes contoured with black and orange lips. Fact is that i had orange on the outer part of my crease, but for some reason, it chose not to show well. Then for the lips, i used orange lipstick and gold-yellow eyeshadow to create an 'ombre' look....*yup, eyeshadow on my lips*.
