I trust that you all are good. Even if your week hasn't been going really well, just hang in there....everything will turn out alright...there will be light at the end of the tunnel which PHCN can't ever take.
So, on Monday and Tuesday 16th and 17th, I attended the WIMBIZ (Women In Management And Business) conference at Eko Hotel. Prior to this one, i had never attended any of the past conferences....So i would like to say a massive "THANK YOU!" to my big Sister Ogo for pushing me to attend.

I had an amazing experience....it was surreal! It's not everyday that you get to sit in the same room with powerful, successful women. Not just to be in the same room with them, but to hear from them, learn from them and hear them speak about their experiences. They imparted invaluable knowledge to over 1000 women in those 2 days.
When i say 'Powerful and successful' people, i'm talking about women like Lady Maiden Alex Ibru (Publisher Guardian newspaper), Ibukun Awosika (Chairman Designate, First Bank Nigeria), Bola Adesola (MD /CEO Standard Chartered Bank), Mosun Bello-Olusoga (Chairman Access Bank), Osaretin Demuren (Chairman Guaranty Trust Bank), Abike Dabiri (APC member, Federal house of Representatives, 7th Republic National assembly), Adebola Williams (APC Presidential campaign team member), Edith Kabang Walla (Former presidential candidate, Cameroon), Olajumoke Akinjide (Former Minister of State FCT, Nigeria), Funke Bucknor- Obruthe (Owner, Zapphaire Events), Arese Ugwu (Founder, Smart Money Africa), Tara Fela- Durotoye (Owner, House Of Tara), Nnamdi Ezeigbo (Owner SLOT Systems Ltd), Femi Longe (Co-Founder, CCHub), Dooney Obata (CEO Dooney's Kitchen), Biola Alabi (Managing Partner, Biola Alabi Media Consulting), Tolu Ogunlesi (Special Adviser to the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on new media), Tolu Sangosanya (Founder, LOTS Charity Foundation). That's not all, but i had to stop typing names here *hand dey pain me*.

See, when i left the conference venue on Tuesday, my eyes were opened...it was like the scales had fallen from my eyes *Looool! funny but true* . I gleaned so much knowledge from the speakers which i can't forget in a hurry. Attending the WIMBIZ conference was one of the best things i've done this year, and i've made up my mind that i would definately be attending the subsequent ones.

You would be sitting 'jejely' on your own oooo but you would not believe the caliber of the person sitting next to you. It was crazy! *looool!* . I did some networking and mingling though.
If you are a business entreprenuer or in the corporate world reading this post, let me give you an invaluable piece of advice.....Try your best to attend the WIMBIZ conference next year.... start saving towards it. This year, it cost N61,000 to attend *money very well spent!*, you would never be the same after attending. The cost varies though...sometimes, it even costs more.
*In Martin Luther's voice*, " I have a dream, that one day, i would be sitting in one of those white chairs on the WIMBIZ stage, sharing my knowledge and experience as well" ......if i eventually overcome my fear of public-speaking that is *looooool!*.
Alright babes, i have to go now! It's almost time to go and pick up my kids from school. Mish had a presentation at school this morning, and she did so well! She came out, stood before an audience and recited her lines with a microphone. Even though we had a big row this morning and i thought she would be in no state of mind to perform, she still did, and she did well too!
