So i found some D.I.Y recipes which i would be sharing with you over the next couple of weeks *or something like that*.
This economy isn't smiling, and the prices of makeup products have sky-rocketed...it's just alarming! I don't think there are any foundations below N4,000 anymore. It's alarming i tell you...so we have to find ways to cut costs *somehow*.
All the ingredients used in these pictorials are perfectly safe on the skin.
So today, i'll be sharing a pictorial with you on how to make your own face primer. You will need :
- Aloevera gel
- Almond oil
- A small bottle or jar
|Almond oil, Aloevera gel, Water, Small bottle|
Why do you need Aloe vera gel? It relieves dry skin, moisturizes the skin, fights skin aging, treats sunburn, reduces the visibility of stretch-marks, treats acne, etc. There are indeed a lot of benefits.
Some people use just the aloe vera gel as a primer without adding any water, but it feels a little tacky on the skin that way, so it's better to add some water. It fills in the small wrinkles and pores in the skin and creates a smoother surface for makeup application.
It's also effective in controlling oily skin and shine.
Why do you need Almond oil? Well, because it makes the skin healthier, it reduces dark circles under the eyes because of the Vit. E in the oil, it delays the signs of aging, it removes impurities, it reduces wrinkles and fine lines, etc.

So this is pretty simple to do...... just pour some water into your container *say, halfway*.
Pump some Aloevera gel into the water *just a few pumps will do*.
Add a few drops of almond oil *about 7 drops is perfect*.
Now, shake vigorously to mix everything very well.
You don't want the mixture to be too watery or too think. If it's too watery, then you should add a few more pumps of Aloevera gel, and if it's too thick, just add a little more water to thin it out.
That's it....so easy to make!
HOW TO USE...
Just apply the mixture all over your face with a brush or your hand.
Let it dry, and then apply your foundation over it.
In the next D.I.Y post, i'll be showing you how to make a Setting Spray.
Have a great day......
