I bought this brush egg at the last LMUF (Lagos Makeup Fair).
I bought it because i was tired of washing my brushes with my hands...i usually dip the brushes in warm soapy water and then twirl it round and round in the center of my palm. That always gives me a weird feeling which i detest. So before i left for the fair, i put '1 Brush egg' on my 'to-buy' list.
I bought a light pink one and i've used it about 15 times since then. Once for general wash day, and the other times for random washes.
The Brush egg is made of a very strong rubbery material, so it bends in different forms. It has a wide hole into which you can insert at least 2 fingers and at most 3 fingers *4 fingers might go in if you have a freakishly small hand... loooool!* Oh! get your mind out of the gutter pleaseee!.
On the other side, it has two ridge patterns....the line ridges are used to wash the bigger brushes, while the dotted ridges are used to wash the smaller brushes.
|This is how you insert the fingers.|
If you don't feel like putting your fingers in there, you can just hold it though.
I like the brush egg for just washing a few brushes.... not my entire set of brushes.
Well, because it takes a lot of time to use. The day i washed all of my brushes, it took one hour of my life! I'm totally not exaggerating. So i plan to buy a Brush mat because i assume that it helps wash faster. Who has used both a Brush egg and a Brush mat? What do you think? Is the Brush mat actually faster? Or do i just assume that it is just because i hate wash-day and i am willing to try anything to make it easier?
Please leave a comment below......let me know if i should bother buying a brush mat.
I do know one thing for sure though...i'm never using the center of my palm again.
Thanks for reading....have a wonderful evening.
