I had totally forgotten about the pending 'Setting spray' post until i scrolled through my draft messages *yup, i have many of those*. That's where i saw it and my mouth hung open....how could i have forgotten? And you people didn't even remind me sef *side-eyes*. Maybe it's not even important to you guys, but you know what? I'll just leave it here anyway whether you like it or not *clicks tongue*.
All you need to make your own Setting spray is a spray bottle, water and glycerine. That's all.
I bought a bottle of the Pure glycerine for about N1000, and the spray bottle cost about N150.
|My bottle of water|
Just pour some water in your spray bottle till it's almost full........
And then pour in a little glycerin...... It has a thick, sticky consistency...like a light gel.
Shake the liquid contents together and viola!......your setting spray is done.
Now, the first time i tried making this, i added a little too much of the glycerin, and so the mixture was a little bit sticky. It definitely felt sticky on my face as well after i sprayed it on. So the second time around, i added less glycerin than i did the first time......this was much better. It also worked really well and held my makeup together till i was ready to wash off.
Also, another thing worthy of note is that it's better to make a fresh mixture everytime *that's my own opinion though*. Instead of mixing it and keeping it for use over long periods of time, i prefer to mix the quantity i will finish immediately, and then mix another one the next time i need a setting spray. Afterall, the mixing happens in less than 10 seconds *shrugs*.
Feel free to try this at home....
Have a good night...
