Christmas is in 4 days, but it doesn't feel like Christmas to me.......and i'm sure you'll agree. Where did our hamarttan go? It doesn't feel like Christmas without it.
Yeaah, i know i really hate the hamarttan season, but it helps set the mood for Christmas *sad face*. I don't understand what is going on with the climate and everything.
Anyway, it just occurred to me this morning that i hadn't posted my review of the Ajali raw sugar body polish i bought at the Beauty Africa Exhibition & Conference......i'm going to make this short 'n sweet.
First, let's talk about the packaging. Don't you just love the little jar you see in the picture? And i especially love the fact that it's made of plastic not bottle. The rubber on the mouth of the jar cover helps seal it very properly so that oil doesn't spill out.
Then there's another plastic cover with a little flap for pulling it off sealing the product in the jar before you close the lid. I give the packaging a thumbs-up because i think its just fab.
I bought the 'Peppermint' variant of the body polish because i love the cool feeling of mint. Now, the Sugar scrub is made of lots of sugar *which settles to the bottom of the jar*, and lots of oil *which sits on top of the sugar*.......as it should be.
Oh, but it's not just any sugar....it's raw turbinado sugar, and it's not just 'oyel'....it's a blend of luxury essential oils.
I've used mine about 3 times *you can get 4 full uses out of one jar*. The sugar can be very hard on the skin if you use a heavy hand to scrub it on, so i used a lighter hand to avoid bruising my skin.
I loved the peppermint smell and feel on my skin.....it felt as cool as i thought it would. However, i didn't like how thick the oil was because it left a heavy film on my skin. So to counter that heavy oil effect, i used the body polish first, then i rinsed all the sugar grains off my body, and then i went ahead and scrubbed all the oil off my body with my soap and sponge. That way most of the heavy oil was gone., and i still felt cool.
WHERE TO BUY
Compliments of the season!
