PRODUCT REVIEW | Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water

What do you use to remove your makeup?

Up until when i bought the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing water, i was using the TARA makeup remover to clean my makeup *read review HERE*. The only problem i had wit the TARA cleanser was the oil residue it left behind on my face after all the makeup was was a lot of oil and i didn´t quite like it. Despite that fact, i was going to buy it again, but then i read about the Micellar Cleansing Water and it got me.

The first thing that got me was the cute bottles *some pink, some blue, some green*, then the reviews. People went on and on about how the Micellar Cleansing Water was a dirt magnet and lifts makeup like magic. Of course i had to see for i was out of a makeup remover.

I have used it about four times now, so a review is in order.

I like the fact that this is not just a makeup remover, it is a face cleanser as well.....a very gentle one at that. It contains no alcohol, no oil and no fragrance. It can be used on the lips as well as the face and the eyes. Oh, and the best part is that it is suitable for all skin types.....sensitive skin included.

So how effective is the Micellar Cleansing Water? It took off my eye-makeup in at most 2 swipes. All i had to do was soak my cotton pad and swipe. I didn´t even have to hold the pad over my eyes for a few seconds like they said on the bottle...i just saturated my cotton pad and swiped. The first swipe takes off all the eyeshadow, the second swipe tackles the winged eyeliner, then i soak a cotton bud in the product and use it to clean my water lines.....the cleanser is ophthalmologist tested, so it´s safe on the eyes *but you should still avoid getting it in your eyes as much as possible*.

It melts foundation and powder off the face . I change the cotton pads and clean until there is no more brown  *foundation colour* on the new cotton pads. After i´m done, i wash my face with my face soap only when i feel like it....some other times, the job done by the Micellar Cleansing Water is okay for me.

I´m so happy that this product doesn´t leave any oily residue at all on my skin. Have i mentioned how gentle it is?

This product is amazing! I don´t understand how it does the job, but it does it perfectly anyway. On the bottle, it says that it´s a multi-purpose cleanser that contains micellar technology *whatever that means....looool!*. I think it´s the technology that does the great job.

It also says that it removes even waterproof mascara, but i haven´t tested that out because i haven´t worn mascara in a long while....i just apply my falsies directly on my own lashes.

I don´t only use the product to remove my makeup, i also use it to cleanse dirt off my face when i come home from the market or school runs and my face has that sticky feeling that comes with our hot weather. Afterwards, my face feels really refreshed and doesn´t feel dry at all.

Unless another brand comes out with an even better makeup remover / cleanser, i will definately buy the Micellar Cleansing Water again.
